Headed for Home

Heading back home after two weeks in the glory of autumn in the midwest. It's been a lovely visit but there's no place like home and I'm ready to get back there to it - outhouse and all.

The AMB convention in Battle Creek was a BLAST! Got to see lots of old friends as well as make new ones made over the four day period that I was teaching. Also attend Fred Ely's slide show presentation on working with baleen. His work is truly exceptional and I encourage one and all to google his work and see what he's doing with baleen.

My Mom has turned me into a gambler. Went to the casino and came home a winner. I was HOOKED, until the next day when I made a contribution and came home empty handed. Sure was fun when I was winning.

I hear it's cold up north and the creek is freezing up solid. Can't wait to get on the runners again. Pics of all my assorted adventures coming up when I get home. I'm headed North to ALASKA!!

No pictures of Michigan - the UP certainly has a few sights that compete with Alaska I would think?
