Instant Winter:
We got the closet weaver home from Anchorage just in time for winter to arrive! Currently there is enough snow on the ground to be running the dogs. Of course nothing is frozen underneath so no river crossings but the white stuff keeps coming on with 2-3 inches every day or so. So much for 4-wheeler training this year it'll be a long run with the dogs this year. Right now we have about a foot and a half of the white stuff
We have class:
Basket class is always so much fun! It's worth all the packing, hauling, and chaining up the truck to get into town to hold it. The quilt basket class was a great success with much fun had by all. November it's the antler hen basket and then in December the large tote basket.
Out and About:
I'm headed out to Michigan for two weeks to teach at the AMB Convention in Battle Creek. Jenn will be heading up the VFAG Sale at the Train Depot in Palmer on 10/31. I'll join her on 11/1 when I get back in to Alaska. Come and see us for an early viewing and sale of baskets and birch bark products.

I'm not looking forward to winter at our cabin yet, but that is a lovely photo. I just found your blog yesterday and will check back here frequently. We have just started a blog about cabin life at our Northern Michigan cabin.
Great picture!
