A new year looms before us with the tail end of another almost completed. 2008 has been a year of revelations and decisions. The most important has been the decision to get out of dogs. My sled dog team has been placed with a Yukon Quest musher and his son and they will be competing in the Copper Basin 300 this year. Even though the decision has been a bittersweet one I'm happy that the team will now be racing and is in good hands.
The dog lot may be empty now but my heart is full of good memories that will last me a lifetime. Mushing dogs in the Alaskan bush has been one of the highlights of my life and one that I'll always treasure.
April sees us headed south in search of green grass and daffodils with lots of classes and conventions lined up for this years tour. Looking forward to seeing you all on the trail.
