Gorgeous baskets, Jill. Enjoy the white oak! I did an apprenticeship in white oak basketmaking many years ago with a local lady thru Univ of Missouri & the traditional arts apprenticeship program (what a mouthful). I loved working with it, although very labor intensive. We did everything by hand. My two white oak baskets have my own blood (literally) in them, and I will treasure them forever. Now if we could ever find more 'good' white oak around here, I'd be set. Have fun! -Tammy

Amazingly enough, it's 90 degrees here in Talkeetna right now. They recently paved the streets over with gold and everyone now gets free health insurance. Oh, and our tomatoes are ripe already.
